Your adventure begins in Trier, Germany’s oldest city. Expect sweeping riverside roads along the Moselle, lined with vineyards and gentle curves. In town, you’ll find the Porta Nigra, Roman baths, and a relaxed wine-town atmosphere — the perfect start to a culturally rich tour.
The ride to Bamberg takes you through rolling Franconian countryside and quiet forest roads. Bamberg itself is a UNESCO-listed gem: cobbled lanes, half-timbered houses, and the famous smoke beer brewed in ancient taverns. The old town feels like stepping into a medieval painting.
Arriving in Prague, the landscape opens into the soft hills of Bohemia before giving way to one of Europe’s most enchanting capitals. With two nights here, you’ll have time to explore:
The Charles Bridge at sunrise
The castle district overlooking the Vltava River
Winding old-town streets filled with cafés and music
Gothic towers, Baroque domes, and golden evening light
Prague is atmospheric, romantic, and endlessly walkable — a highlight of the entire tour.
The ride to Brno flows through the gentle hills of Moravia, dotted with vineyards and small villages. Brno itself blends historic squares with a modern café culture and a lively evening scene. It’s a relaxed, friendly city with a youthful energy and great food.
Crossing into Austria, the scenery shifts dramatically: forested mountains, smooth roads, and wide valleys. Sankt Barbara im Mürztal is a peaceful Alpine village surrounded by green slopes and fresh mountain air. It’s a calm, restorative stop after the vibrancy of the cities.
The ride into Zell am See is pure Austrian beauty: sweeping bends, tidy villages, and towering peaks. Zell sits beside a deep blue lake with the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier rising above it. Evening walks along the water and mountain reflections make this one of the most scenic stops of the tour.
From Zell am See, you’ll cross the Austrian Alps on smooth, flowing roads before descending to Bregenz on the shores of Lake Constance. Expect lakeside promenades, mountain-backdrop sunsets, and a relaxed holiday atmosphere. It’s a gentle, beautiful transition from the high mountains back toward Western Europe.
Crossing back into France, the landscape softens into rolling fields and wooded hills. Belfort is known for its impressive citadel and the monumental Lion of Belfort sculpture. The old town is compact, colourful, and perfect for an evening wander.
The ride to Charleville-Mézières winds through the Ardennes, one of France’s most underrated riding regions: forest curves, quiet villages, and peaceful river valleys. The town itself has a grand central square and a relaxed, friendly feel — a lovely final stop before returning to the coast.
Your final day brings you back to Calais, where the journey began. After days of rivers, castles, cities, mountains, and lakes, you’ll return home with new stories, new confidence, and a deeper love for Central Europe.
